Job description

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured at

The Fresh Factory conform to food safety and quality specifications. This role will help drive

operational improvements in food safety and quality by demonstrating best practices in GMPs,

monitoring and verifying CCPs, and maintaining the company’s and our customers’ high

standards for production. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.


This posting is for first shift.

Responsibilities

● Test and release finished product samples

● Monitor key processing Critical Control Points

● Periodically test packaging integrity, fill weights, and fill levels

● Inspect finished goods packaging

● Collect retain samples

● Conduct pre-operational inspections and release equipment for use

● Perform environmental monitoring swabs, read and record results

● Inspect and document the condition of inbound and outbound trucks

● Participate in regular Food Safety Team meetings

● Ensure the plant is audit ready (SQF, Organic, FDA, and customer audits)


Qualifications:

● Strong communication skills

● Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility

● Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

● Ability to work with multiple departments including Operations, Maintenance,

Warehouse & Logistics, and Research & Development

● Ability to use a computer and tablet

● Must speak, read and write English

● Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred


Physical requirements

○ Move/Lift up to 50lbs

○ Stands most of the day

○ Works in Cold Room 50-75% of the time

○ Must wear Personal Protective Equipment
