Job description

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you'll help make sure the precision parts, tools, and components we manufacture meet customer specifications and JV Manufacturing's quality standards.
Your day may include:
  • Inspecting manufactured parts, tools, and components using blueprints, engineered drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Verifying dimensions, alignments, clearances, and other print requirements.
  • Using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop micrometers, gauge blocks/pins, indicators, comparators, and other inspection tools.
  • Determining the best inspection method and proper measuring equipment for each part.
  • Using or learning equipment such as CMMs, vision systems, and contour tracers.
  • Identifying and documenting parts that do not meet specifications through Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and other Quality team members to resolve questions or quality concerns.
  • Completing inspection documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Helping keep production moving without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
  • Participating in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement efforts.

What We Are Looking For:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology and systems.
  • Ability to understand and apply technical information.
  • Dependability and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Direct Quality Assurance experience is not required If you have the right mechanical aptitude, manufacturing knowledge, and willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply.
Even Better if You Have:
  • Manufacturing or machining experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints or engineered drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Quality inspection or Quality Assurance experience.
  • Tool & die experience or experience in a related skilled trade.
  • Education or training in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
