Hosts Wanted for a New Restaurant From the Folks at John Brown General

Part-time

Job description

Hello from the team behind John Brown General and Butchery! We're opening a full service restaurant and bar with a retail butchery shop attached in the Remington neighborhood of Baltimore in early July.

First and foremost we're building a neighborhood spot with copious outside seating and commons, lively inside dining, and a vibrant bar. We're committed to offering our guests the best in ingredients and service, minus any fussiness or pretension.

Full and Part-Time positions at the door available. We are looking for someone who is engaging and outgoing, and who thrives in a dynamic and bustling environment. This is a position for a person who, above all, genuinely enjoys greeting and talking to our guests, and making them feel welcome. The successful candidate will enjoy the puzzle solving and logic that goes into managing the seating of a busy room in a thriving restaurant, and who wants to make the night run smoothly while operating at full capacity during busy times. This person will get a genuine thrill from making it all come together at the door. We are equally happy to bring on someone who is looking for a fun, interesting job while they pursue other goals, or someone who wants to eventually take on more responsibility and learn and grow in a creative environment. With this job, there is plenty of opportunity available for the right person.

TO APPLY, please send RESUME as a PDF attachment only. No application will be considered without a cover letter, which should be written into the body of your email application. We want to know why you want to work here, specifically, and why you would be a good fit for the position, so please speak to this in your cover letter.  Your resume will speak for itself.
