Excellent Cardiology Opportunity in Danbury, Connecticut (Fairfield County, 60 miles from New York City) - Fellowship Teaching Opportunity
Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a non-invasive Cardiologist to join our established and growing employed practice in Danbury, Connecticut. The practice includes thirteen cardiologists and six APRNs and excellent support staff in addition to teaching rotations with our Cardiology Fellows. Danbury Hospital's Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology. Cardiac services at the hospital include Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Arrhythmia Center. Our Cardiac Surgery Program includes TAVR. Part-time scheduling options are available.
We are located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York.
The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Cardiology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply, including 2026 candidates. The position includes inpatient work at Danbury Hospital and outpatient office services in our main office in the Medical Arts Building next to the hospital campus.
We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and generous allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as sign on bonus, retention bonus,and relocation allowance.
Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Practice includes 1000+ employed physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout western Connecticut and eastern New York.
