Job description

Beacon College was the first accredited college to offer bachelors and associates degrees exclusively to students with learning disabilities.
Beacon College serves students with:

The Staff Psychologist is a full-time, 10-month position within the Counseling Center. The Staff Psychologist provides a broad range of direct psychological services to Beacon College students including the following: diagnostic assessment and evaluation; individual psychotherapy; group therapy; crisis intervention; consultation; and outreach programming and training.
Provides consultative psychological services to members of the Beacon College community including faculty members, staff members, deans, administrators, and parents. Supervises a small staff of full and part time counselors. Provides clinical supervision of masters level licensed interns. Coordinates programs for the Counseling Center as assigned. Participates in the Counseling Center's evening and weekend on-call duties, and emergency and crisis response procedures.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program; licensed as a Psychologist/Health Service Provider in the state of Florida within one year of hire; completion of an APA-accredited internship; experience in a college or university counseling center; strong clinical psychotherapeutic skills; and commitment to serving Beacon College's student population.
Reports to the Director of Student Services. This is a 10-month, exempt level position.
