We are seeking Independent Contractor psychologists to conduct Compensation and Pension (C&P) disability examinations in support of federal contracts with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Additionally, you will perform occupational examinations for federal, state, and local agencies as needed. The position requires performing thorough medical evaluations, generating comprehensive reports, and providing timely documentation that aids in the determination of disability and occupational status.

Key Responsibilities:


Conduct Compensation and Pension (C&P) disability psychological examinations and testing for veterans as per VA standards and regulations.

Perform occupational health examinations for various federal, state, and local agencies.

Evaluate medical conditions, injuries, and disabilities and prepare detailed and accurate reports.

Collaborate with administrative and case management staff to ensure the timely submission of completed reports.

Utilize medical expertise to assess veterans’ claims for service-connected disabilities and occupational health matters.

Comply with all relevant standards, including confidentiality and ethical considerations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including adherence to the Veterans Affairs' (VA) evaluation protocols.

Maintain and uphold the highest quality standards in all medical reports and documentation.

Provide timely and accurate reports that meet deadlines and submission requirements for all contracting agencies.



Requirements:

Professional Degree from an APA accredited institution is required.

Board certification is a plus

Must possess a valid and unrestricted license to practice.

Previous experience in conducting C&P exams or other federal medical evaluations preferred.

Ability to conduct both focused and comprehensive psychological examinations and functional assessments.

Ability to perform standardized psychological/integrative neuropsychological assessments

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare thorough medical reports.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple case assignments while maintaining high attention to detail.

Ability to access to a secure electronic medical record (EMR) system to maintain patient confidentiality.

Ability to collaborate with and seek guidance from other healthcare professionals

Experience with federal, state, and local agency occupational health standards is a plus.


Timeliness and Quality Standards:

Timely submission of all reports and documentation is critical. Reports must be completed and submitted within the required deadlines to ensure proper case flow and contract compliance.

Reports must be of the highest quality, accurate, and free of errors, as they play a critical role in determining veterans’ disability benefits and occupational health assessments for agencies.

Adherence to federal guidelines and protocols for examinations, ensuring that all exams meet legal and procedural standards.
