Part time project managers are responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects, but typically manage a smaller workload or number of projects. This role is ideal for organizations with limited project needs or professionals seeking work-life balance. Part time project managers use the same tools and methodologies as their full-time counterparts, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Flexibility and strong communication skills are key to success in this position.

How do part-time project managers balance multiple projects and communicate effectively with full-time team members?

Part-time project managers often juggle several projects simultaneously, requiring strong organizational skills and proactive communication. They typically rely on clear scheduling, regular status updates, and digital collaboration tools to stay aligned with full-time team members and stakeholders. Establishing set check-in times and leveraging project management software helps ensure everyone stays informed and progress remains on track. Open communication and setting expectations early are key strategies for success in a part-time project management role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time project manager, and why are they important?

Lead Skilled Trades Technician - TruBlue of Cumming & Dawsonville
Location: Dawsonville / Dawson County & North Atlanta service area Employment type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible) Experience required: 5+ years in residential remodeling, repair, or the skilled trades
About TruBlue of Cumming & Dawsonville
TruBlue of Cumming & Dawsonville delivers trusted home repair, remodeling, and maintenance for homeowners across the North Atlanta area - including busy families, seniors aging in place, and property-watch clients who count on us to look after their homes. We show up on time, do quality work, and treat every home like it's our own. If you take pride in your craft and want steady, local work close to home, we'd like to talk to you.
The Role
We're hiring an experienced, versatile technician who can take a job from scope to completion - either leading a small crew on larger projects or working independently on day-to-day repairs and remodels. This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable across multiple trades, solves problems in the field, and represents our brand professionally in a customer's home.
What You'll Do
  • Complete a wide range of interior and exterior work: carpentry and trim, drywall and paint, tile setting, flooring (LVP), basic plumbing and electrical, fixture and cabinetry installation, fencing, and general repairs
  • Lead and coordinate a small crew on larger remodels and multi-day jobs
  • Work independently on service calls and smaller projects with minimal oversight
  • Estimate materials, sequence tasks, and keep jobs on schedule and on budget
  • Communicate clearly with clients and the office throughout each project
  • Maintain a clean, safe, professional worksite from start to finish
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience across multiple trades
  • Able to read plans, scope work, and problem-solve on your own
  • Comfortable both leading a crew and running solo
  • Professional, punctual, and genuinely customer-focused
  • Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Own basic hand and power tools
  • Smartphone-comfortable (we run scheduling and job tracking through HouseCall Pro)
  • Able to pass a background check (we work in clients' homes and manage property-watch accounts)
Nice to Have
  • Tile setting experience (Schluter systems, mosaic, custom showers)
  • Bathroom and kitchen remodel / reconfiguration experience
  • Light commercial or tenant-improvement work
  • Crew leadership or project-management background
Compensation & Schedule
  • Pay: $25-$35/hour, depending on experience
  • Full-time or part-time - we'll work with your availability
  • Steady, local work within the North Atlanta service area, primarily Forsyth and Dawson Counties (no long commutes or overnight travel)
