Job description

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing production-related planning, logistics, on-site execution and budgets for NFL Media. They collaborate with various departments to ensure strategic planning and decision-making regarding budgetary and operational execution. The Production Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating Digital Media and Studio productions, while maintaining effective communication and fostering collaboration across teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of budgets, technical staffing, scheduling, and coordination for various productions.
  • Work closely with multiple departments (e.g., NFL Media Production, HR, Finance, Vendor Maintenance Office) to ensure policy compliance and facilitate communication of policy changes.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and forecasting of production-related budgets, identifying risks and opportunities for senior management.
  • Manage, reconcile, and track daily budgets for all show components or departmental budgets.
  • Foster collaboration with internal departments and external entities to maximize efficiencies, particularly with the Production and Operations teams.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop logistical and budgetary plans for new production initiatives and creative programming efforts for both internal and external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communication or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in production management as a Production Manager, Line Producer or above, preferably in a network or production company.
  • Experience managing a team, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and other relevant software tools. 
  • Ability to manage production budgets and perform budget forecasting and reporting. 

Qualifications

  • Prior production experience, with knowledge of sports, is preferred.

Travel 

  • Some remote production travel may be required 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Up to 29 hours a week; availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
