Can you be a part time private eye?

Part time private investigators, or private eyes, can work on a flexible schedule, often handling cases outside of regular hours. However, licensing requirements and the need for specific skills such as surveillance and report writing may influence whether part time work is feasible, and some jurisdictions may have restrictions on part time licensing or practice.

Do part time private eyes make good money?

Part-time private investigators can earn varying income depending on their experience, location, and the complexity of cases they handle. Typically, they charge hourly rates that range from $20 to $100 or more, but overall earnings are often lower than full-time investigators due to fewer hours worked. Success in this role also depends on skills such as surveillance, interviewing, and report writing.
