Objective/Purpose:

Support the business by implementation business strategies and execution of multiple power system simulation studies for customers. Support the Area Vice President to identify new business opportunities and growth potentials in the power system engineering and simulation services.

The role is required to support the team in conducting projects in US, middle east, Africia, and India with major emphasis on US projects and will support in coordinating with regional growth leaders and project team, as needed. Looking for individuals to promote a powerful, modern solution to help companies achieve their growth plans, including high-impact and high-quality measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent services at multiple stages of projects, including guiding technical staff, partners and project team
  • Responsible for the on-time delivery, compliance, and successful project execution
  • Direct point of contact with Associate Vice President and partners for assigned projects
  • Initiate new business potentials to expand revenue opportunities within the power system simulation services domain
  • Drive project milestones, plans, schedules, models, necessary resources, etc.
  • Support process and tool creation
  • Provide proposal and solution support, including advisory services, economic analysis, master planning, and project engagement to ensure customer success
  • Applies continuous improvement and lean methodologies
  • Always act in the best interest of the company

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor/Master’s/PhD degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on power system analysis and controls
  • 5+ years of experience in conducting wide variety of power system modeling studies in transmission and distribution systems.
  • Good written and oral skills very proficient in written and oral communication, regularly communicate complex information and interact with the team
  • Located in USA and able to travel 10% to 40% of the time
  • Experience generating T&D power system models for interconnection studies (e.g.: protection coordination, stability, power flow, grounding)
  • Experience generating detailed design analysis including Distributed Energy Resource (DER) optimization and microgrid studies
  • Experience with hardware-in-loop (HIL) or control hardware-in-loop (CHIL) modelling
  • Experience in developing optimization algorithms for power system and DER applications
  • Experience in demand response, demand side management
  • Experience in using simulation tools like PSS/E, Simulink, PSCAD, CYMEDIST, DigSilent
  • Experience with programming language: Python C++, Matlab, etc.

Desired Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Clear understanding of the operational planning philosophies of integrating DERs within T&D
  • Knowledge of the practical and regulatory requirements associated with implementation of various DER technologies within T&D
  • Conducting power system simulation studies using software tools namely PSS/E, PSCAD, CYMEDIST, DigSilent
  • Demonstrate strong domain knowledge and experience to define key business strategies and market creation within power system simulation and engineering services
  • Strong domain knowledge and experience in conducting advanced power system studies for energy storage systems, microgrids and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Experience working with or working directly (as a project partner) with utilities in power system simulation and engineering services space.
  • Experience writing grant proposals
