Overview

The Housekeeping team is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the Convention Center are clean, safe, and welcoming for guests, staff, and event participants. This Housekeeper position plays a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and overall facility appearance.

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00-$13.00.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning and custodial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and trash removal.
  • Clean and restock restrooms to maintain health and safety standards.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of event spaces by ensuring rooms are clean, orderly, and guest-ready.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, offices, dressing rooms, and other public or staff areas.
  • Perform exterior cleaning as assigned (sidewalks, entrances, terraces).
  • Safely operate housekeeping equipment (vacuums, floor machines, carpet cleaners, etc.).
  • Monitor and report any safety hazards, needed repairs, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules, safety guidelines, and procedures at all times.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in a commercial facility preferred.
  • Experience with floor care and use of commercial cleaning equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive to direction.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects as needed.
  • Comfortable working around electrical equipment and in varied indoor/outdoor environments.
