Overview

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all concession stands during events, ensuring smooth and efficient service. This position plays a key role in setting up and maintaining all concession areas, supervising staff, maintaining health and safety standards, and supporting overall event success. Due to the nature of this venue, the successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee set-up and readiness of designated concession stands prior to each event, under the Concessions Manager.
  • Assign duties to employees and volunteers, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Monitor food production, inventory levels, and cash handling procedures.
  • Assist in training new and current staff on procedures, best practices, and guest service standards.
  • Step in to support or backfill any position as needed to maintain service and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with Premium Services operations and special events as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and harassment-free work environment; promptly report and address safety issues.
  • Supervise alcohol service, including ID checks and managing over-service situations.
  • Support POS transactions, order processing, and guest interaction when needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is operational and sanitation standards are met.
  • Enforce OVG company policies and procedures; model professional conduct at all times.
  • Assist with inventory, training sessions, and other projects assigned by management.
  • Assist with moving products into designated locations.
Qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
  • Basic knowledge of office software, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
