SAIOP Counselor - Part Time - PM

As our part-time IOP Counselor, you will provide clinical services including group, family, and/or individual therapy. You will be responsible for maintaining client records including treatment planning, psychosocial assessments, and progress notes. This position participates in clinical supervision and treatment team meetings on a weekly basis.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, evening groups 5pm - 9pm
+ staff meeting Wednesdays 2pm - 4pm (virtual ok)

Pay

CADC-R/CADC-I/CADC $21.00 - $24.04 per hour.

Provisional license $26.44 + per hour.

Full license $28.85 + per hour.

Licensures eligible to receive this benefit include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LPA, LCASA, and CADC.

Job Responsibilities of a SAIOP Counselor

  • Provides screening, assessments, and evaluations in a professional and engaging manner, including the required information, organizing it for key personnel to suggest level of care for each client assigned.
  • Establishes a therapeutic counseling relationship with each client assigned; facilitates individual, group, and family counseling.
  • Identifies elements of client crisis, responds to each client needs to ensure their safety, integrates crisis experience into the treatment process for each client assigned.
  • Maintains client record, including NCTOPPS; discharge planning; development, monitoring and revision of PCP; typing and preparing clinical notes and psychosocial assessments
  • Uses urine tests appropriately and as a therapeutic tool to determine the client’s progress in treatment.
  • Case management functions to arrange, link monitor and integrate services and referrals; progress reports to probation officers, judges, lawyers, etc.
  • For each client assigned, identifies appropriate referral resources, coordinates services with referral resources, and assists client with utilizing referral resources.
  • Contacts all clients assigned who do not show for appointments.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to provide coverage as needed, including coverage for the Crisis phone.
  • Leverage Eleos AI, an innovative clinical documentation tool that reduces note-writing time so you can spend more time focusing on participant care.

Qualifications of a SAIOP Counselor

Educational and Experience

  • Minimum Master’s degree in a Human Services field
Licensure/Certifications
  • Currently licensed (full or provisional) to practice clinically (LCAS/A, LCSW/A, LCMHC/A, CADC-R, CADC-I, or CADC)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiar with the 12 core functions
  • Microsoft Office Suite + ability to learn other technological recording methods e., EMRs/EHRs
  • Crisis de-escalation skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crises or resistant or negative toward organization
