Position Summary
****This is an onsite, in-person position located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Candidates should apply only if they are able to be physically present and available to work onsite by the start date****
St. Louis Community College is seeking qualified candidates to teach in-person Biotechnology courses during Summer 2026 and Fall 2026. Courses may be held at the Center for Plant and Life Sciences (BRDG Park) and/or the Meramec Campus.
Primary Duties Performed
  • Deliver instruction for assigned biotechnology courses, including both lecture and laboratory components
  • Evaluate student performance and assign grades in accordance with college policies
  • Maintain accurate attendance and grading records; submit required documentation on time
  • Meet all scheduled class sessions
  • Use instructional technologies (e.g., Canvas, PowerPoint) to support student learning
  • Supervise and guide students in laboratory activities

Qualifications/Experience
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in biotechnology or a closely related discipline

Preferred Qualifications
  • College-level teaching experience in biotechnology or a related field

Working Conditions
    • Classroom, laboratory, or online instructional environment
    • May require travel between campuses or instructional sites
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Negligible to moderate physical activity, which may include standing for extended periods, light lifting of instructional materials, and use of standard classroom or computer equipment.
