Job Description:
The Member Services Associate is responsible for promoting and selling memberships for the pickleball club while providing exceptional customer service to current and potential members. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a passion for the sport of pickleball.
Key Responsibilities:
Membership Sales
ยท Respond to inquiries from prospective members and provide information about club activities, events, and programs
ยท Conduct tours of the facility and explain membership options and benefits
ยท Process membership applications, payments, and renewals
ยท Collaborate with marketing team to develop and distribute promotional materials and social media content
ยท Attend community events to promote the club and recruit new members
ยท Collaborate with club management to plan and promote special events, tournaments, and social activities
Front Desk
ยท Handle member concerns, complaints, and suggestions, and escalate issues as needed
ยท Greet and farewell members and guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
ยท Manage the front desk: check members in, answer phone calls, and respond to emails
ยท Schedule court reservations and manage court availability
ยท Assist with equipment rentals and retail sales
ยท Keep the front desk and social areas clean and organized
ยท Provide information on club events, programs, and tournaments
ยท Assist with coordinating and scheduling private lessons and clinics
ยท Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
ยท Work closely with the club management team to ensure the smooth operation of the club
ยท Other duties as assigned
Ambassador
ยท Make sure all members have a curated experience
ยท Make sure the courts, social area, member lounge, food & beverage area, locker room are clean and organized
ยท Assist and help manage open play, leagues and events
ยท Assist and help with ball machine rental use
ยท Greet and farewell members and guests with a friendly and welcoming demeaner.
This is a full-time or part-time position, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization. The Pickleball Club Member Service Associate will report to the Club General Manager and work closely with other staff members to provide an exceptional customer experience for members and guests. Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework preferred
- 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience, preferably in a sports or fitness environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Passion for pickleball and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to move quickly around the facility to assist members and guests
