Medical Phone Receptionist
Job Description
We are seeking a part-time detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to join our team at Western Vascular Institute. You'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with their inquiries.
As a Medical Phone Receptionist, you should combine a pleasant personality with a dynamic professional attitude. Our ideal candidate has a solid customer service approach and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure you provide professional and compassionate service to our patients.
Responsibilities
  • Answer and manage incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Provide general information to patients about our services and policies.
  • Verify patient information and update records as needed.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient communication.
  • Handle a high volume of calls with efficiency and empathy.
  • Ensure company’s policies and security requirements are met.
Skills + Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a medical office or similar setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology/Vascular is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using phone systems and EMR systems. (NextGen preferred.)

Compensation will depend on experience and can be discussed during the interviewing process.
