MRI Technologist – Outpatient

Lansdowne, Virginia
Part -Time | Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
No Holidays, No Call

At Fairfax Radiology Centers, our MRI Technologists deliver high-quality imaging in a modern outpatient environment designed for both patient comfort and clinical excellence. Our MRI Center in Lansdowne, Virginia features the new GE 3T Premier MRI, the Philips 3T with Ambient Experience, and the GE 1.5T System - offering cutting-edge technology that enhances diagnostic capabilities and elevates patient care.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will:

• Independently perform routine MRI exams with confidence and accuracy
• Produce high-quality images that meet radiologist expectations with minimal repeats
• Deliver a calm, supportive patient experience during every exam
• Adapt to workflows within a state-of-the-art imaging center
• Integrate into a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient imaging team

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine and specialty MRI exams with accuracy and professionalism
• Deliver high-quality imaging with a strong focus on patient safety and comfort
• Operate within clearly defined MRI safety zones and follow best practices
• Maintain imaging protocols and ensure accurate documentation in PACS/RIS
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to provide timely diagnostic services
• Support patients through exams with clear communication and reassurance

Qualifications

Required

• 6+ months of MRI experience or completion of a formal MRI training program
• ARRT (R) or MRI certification, or ARMRIT certification
• BLS certification

Preferred

• Experience in outpatient imaging environments
• Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems

Compensation & Growth: 

Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:

$41.65 - $56.35 per hour (plus weekend differential)
