Job description

We're looking for a part-time Pharmacist to join our team! No weekends, no evenings.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Compliant Prescription Processing

  • Ensure all prescriptions dispensed meet all federal, state and local regulatory requirements
  • Provide constructive feedback to maintain safe and efficient prescription processing -
  • Validate accuracy of all prescriptions and follow up on any discrepancies in the prescription filling process
  • Maintain secure, clean and safe pharmacy/warehouse

Business Planning

  • Plan, advise and implement immediate and long term operational plans and overall budgets
  • Set direction and prioritize, allocate resources, set and meet deadlines -
  • Problem solve through issues to identify, analyze and recommend solutions
  • Manage all aspects of the pharmacy operations Collaborate
  • Status regularly with manager to discuss business priorities and current operations
  • Maintain regular meetings with FC manager to discuss pharmacy operations within the warehouse and ways to increase efficiency
  • Partner with sales team and leadership to maintain open lines of communication and resolve systematic issues
  • Communicate with veterinarians and office staff to build strong working relationships

People Management

  • Encourage the growth of all employees through skill development
  • Mentor staff, measure performance, and complete and/or provide input on performance reviews Resolve employee issues in an effective and consistent manner

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy

  • Attention to detail with ability to problem solve effectively
  • Demonstrated success in prioritizing and time-management

  • Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and an independent, accountable, dependent performer Current state Board of Pharmacy license with the ability to obtain reciprocal licenses in other states Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience
  • Background in veterinary pharmacy

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to move product weighing up to 50 pounds onto conveyor belt up to 10 times per hour. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time
  • Must be able to operate a keyboard and other machinery as necessary
  • This position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity

Environmental Factors

  • This position requires low exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures, high voltage, dirt or dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, hazardous chemicals and hazardous machinery. Working environment is a typical warehouse environment.

Travel and On-Call

  • This position requires travel only for reciprocity licensing where required
