The MAKE-READY TECHNICIAN works as part of the maintenance team in maintaining the physical integrity of the community. The MAKE-READY TECHNICIAN may occasionally participate in the on-call rotation, providing 24- hour emergency services to our residents.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of market-ready apartments.
  • Removal of abandoned furniture, trash and appliances as needed.
  • Maintains common areas and dog park amenities to keep clean, operational, and safe for our residents.
  • If certified for pool maintenance, cleans and maintains pool as directed.
  • Performs basic maintenance as scheduled.
  • Checks and replaces exterior lighting on a regular basis.
  • Must be aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, sewer cleanouts.
  • Paints office area, outer lobby, laundry room, rest rooms, fitness center, and rails around pool including buildings and breezeways. Carries buckets of paint from storage area to work.
  • Changes locks, makes keys when directed.
  • Distributes resident communications, regarding upcoming events, pest control notices, newsletters.
  • Ensures that all makeready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Performs any additional duties assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Must meet all physical requirements of the position. Lifting is required, however lifting and carrying of weights exceeding 50 is to be accomplished with assistance from one or more persons.
  • Position requires a minimum score of 70% in the following categories of the maintenance technician test (Electrical, Plumbing, Make Ready, Grounds).
  • Position requires at least 1 years’ experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent education and/or demonstration of skill.
  • EPA Type II or Greater are preferred but not required.
  • Valid Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Maximum of 29 hours per week, Monday through Weekly schedule may change as required. Must be needed for occasional on-call emergencies and weekend work.
  • Must enjoy outdoor work year-round.
  • Must have a working smartphone suitable for use with various software applications.

USD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
