Job Details Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Location: Portland, OR 97239 Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule Shift Duration: 12 hours Start Date: September 8, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Orientation: 12 hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180 Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend Floating: Required to float to PICU, NICU, and additional pediatric units as needed Charting System: Epic experience required Open to First-Time Travelers: Yes Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing, pediatric critical care, or acute care experience required Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required Epic charting experience required Strong pediatric critical care skills with comfort caring for high-acuity patients Experience with ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, and pediatric dosage calculations Ability to adapt quickly across multiple units and patient populations in a travel RN role Ability to provide safe, compassionate care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting Responsibilities Deliver skilled nursing care across pediatric, neonatal, and critical care settings Float to PICU, NICU, and other pediatric units based on staffing and patient needs Monitor and manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs Support ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and hemodynamic monitoring Administer medications, blood products, and treatments according to pediatric best practices Perform thorough assessments, document care accurately in Epic, and respond promptly to changes in condition Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to improve patient outcomes Maintain a safe, family-centered environment while delivering high-quality bedside care Apply now to join a rewarding Portland healthcare travel nursing opportunity and make a difference in pediatric patient care.
