Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Access Representative, you will act as a key contributor to the overall patient experience by leveraging your talent for organization, operations, and exceptional customer service.

Every day you will create a positive impression for patients, family, and visitors while pre-admitting, admitting, and registering. You will interview patients for demographic and financial information, verify insurance benefits, explain financial requirements, collect patient portions, and serve as a mentor to new associates.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational and customer service skills, meticulous attention to detail in information gathering and financial processes, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information while contributing to a positive patient journey.

  • Consistently performs the registration process through timely, accurate, and courteous completion of patient clinical and financial data.
  • Utilizes technology to verify and document insurance eligibility of patients accurately, efficiently, and timely according to established standards.
  • Collects patient portion from patients prior to or at time of service (following MSE).
  • Obtain signatures, verify accuracy of information, and scan documents into electronic patient record as applicable.
  • Maintains an accuracy rate within the departmental guidelines.
  • Demonstrates the importance of quality and integrity of capturing patient information with regards to patient confidentiality.

  • Office experience in a healthcare environment, medical terminology, ability to multitask and prioritizing skills.
