Join our dynamic team as a skilled Baker, where you will play a vital role in creating delicious baked goods that delight our customers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality pastries, cakes, cookies, pies and bars to include cake-decorating and finishing pies, all cooling, wrapping and labeling of products.
  • Must follow recipes as written to produce consistent results of end product.
  • Complete the assigned production schedule within allotted time frame.
  • Understand and recognize quality ingredients and use them efficiently.
  • Demonstrate and adhere to the highest standards for safe food handling as indicated by the food service department.
  • Understand and practice standard FIFO.
  • Work with peers in a variety of work spaces and conditions.
  • Demonstrates good decision making in production management of stocked goods (raw, refrigerated and shelf stable) with respect to constantly changing availability.
  • Ensure all cooking and food storage areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling procedures.
  • Participate in periodic inventory counts.
  • Maintain department equipment in working order, report any damage of equipment or tools to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Follow the department staffing schedule and guidelines for changes.
  • Assist in receiving goods for the department when necessary.
  • Open to working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
