Location: MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick
Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00
Shift: One 12; three 8 hours. Start times 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. May rotate to nights if needed. Rotating Shifts; Rotating holidays, Call Requirement

Join our Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU!
Primary Patient Population:
  • Pediatric through Adult
  • Immediate post-operative period

Primary skills utilized/learned:
  • Maintain patient airway
  • Assess hemodynamic stability and support
  • Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status
  • Provision of adequate pain and comfort measures
  • Assess Wound/incision integrity
  • Overall patient assessment

Personnel RN will work with:
  • OR/ ED/Inpatient RNs, Pre/Post Phase 2 staff, Anesthesia staff, Surgeons, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy

Number of OR Suites/Cases:
  • 26 beds (Bay platform)
  • 40-50 surgical cases daily

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN
  • Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
