Position Summary:
The Mover/Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management processes. This position involves physically moving and organizing products within the showroom/warehouse, as well as assisting with packing, loading, transporting, and unloading of estate furniture and home furnishings. The primary goal is to maintain an efficient workflow that supports our overall business objectives and customer satisfaction. Associates will be responsible for accurately tracking inventory and ensuring that all items are stored in their designated locations. Ultimately, this role contributes to the timely delivery of goods and the overall success of our operations. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically strong, enjoy working with their hands, and take pride in safely and efficiently moving large and very heavy furniture pieces. You will be responsible for assisting in the

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely move, load, and unload large and very heavy furniture and home items from estates, trucks, and into storage or showroom spaces
  • Wrap, pad, and protect furniture to prevent damage during transportation
  • Work closely with team members to plan and execute moves efficiently and carefully
  • Navigate stairs, narrow hallways, and tight spaces with oversized items
  • Assist with furniture assembly/disassembly as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized moving truck and workspace
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse space, ensuring that products are stored in an orderly manner.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Instruct new Moving Team members on company procedures and moving/packing techniques.
  • Follow company procedures and safety guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in moving, warehouse, or delivery roles preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture (100+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day
  • Strong work ethic and dependability
