Job description

Packaging Assistant, Part-Time
Fremont Brewing is currently seeking a Part-Time Packaging Assistant based out of our West facility in Ballard. The Packaging Assistant is part of the Packaging Department and reports to the Packaging Manager. The primary responsibilities include packing and palletizing product, recordkeeping, performing quality assurance checks, operating basic packaging equipment, and supporting other areas of the Packaging Department. This role will be scheduled one to three shifts per week and can be available both days and nights.
Pay Rate: $21.30 to $23.50 per hour
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work in congruence with all company safety and quality standards
  • Hand-folding cardboard trays and boxes
  • Hand-pulling and packing finished product
  • Performing routine quality assurance checks
  • Basic recordkeeping during and after packaging runs
  • Manual and electric pallet jack operation
  • Equipment setup, changeover, and shutdown
  • Cleaning of packaging areas and equipment
  • Assisting with other duties as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts
  • Routine grabbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, bending, etc.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and loud environments
