Lift Equipment Operator (Heights Required) Part-Time - From $19/hr.

Sally Beauty Holdings - Distribution Center

Location: 4309 Janitrol Rd., Columbus, OH 43228
Conveniently located near I-270 on the west side of Columbus

This is not a ground-level picking role. This position requires operating a cherry picker (elevated equipment) up to 40 feet while wearing a safety harness. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights for extended periods.


Available Shifts

  • 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 10:00 AM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • No weekends

Position Overview

This role consists of operating manual and powered industrial equipment to support warehouse operations such as receiving, picking, packing, stocking, and shipping products. The primary goal is to move product safely while maximizing productivity within a fast-paced distribution environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cherry picker and other powered industrial equipment
  • Pick, pack, and move product throughout the distribution center
  • Load, unload, and stage product for shipping and receiving
  • Stock inventory and replenish assigned areas
  • Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Meet productivity and performance standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • Ability to operate or learn powered industrial equipment
  • Ability to lift 10-55 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable standing and walking for 6-10 hours
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and communication skills
  • Must become certified through Sally Beauty's Lift Truck Training Program

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Warehouse environment with temperature variations (25F to 105F)
