If you are looking for an exciting career opportunity in the IT, engineering, software development, logistics, and project management fields, Linchpin Solutions is the place to be! We are currently hiring for a dynamic and experienced SATCOM Trainer.


Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance eligible


Work Schedule: Part-Time, as needed. Travel = 100%.


Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced SATCOM professionals to support the delivery of instructor-led training on satellite communications systems and associated modem equipment. The SATCOM Trainer will travel to customer locations to conduct one-week training events focused on terminal setup, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating and maintaining SATCOM terminals, configuring satellite modems, and delivering technical training to military personnel. Experience supporting the fielding, integration, or sustainment of tactical communications equipment is highly desired.

This is a part-time, travel-based position. Training events are typically one week in duration and may occur throughout the United States and overseas.

Specific Skillset

  • Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot SATCOM terminals and associated modem systems
  • Knowledge of satellite acquisition, antenna alignment, terminal commissioning, and network connectivity procedures
  • Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, fault isolation, and system restoration activities
  • Proficiency using technical manuals, lesson plans, training support packages, and other instructional materials
  • Ability to evaluate student performance through practical assessments and knowledge checks
  • Ability to travel frequently for one-week training events

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating, maintaining, or supporting SATCOM systems
  • Experience delivering technical training to DoD, military, or government customers
  • Experience with satellite communication terminals
  • Experience with satellite modem operation, configuration, and troubleshooting
