Job Description

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating delivery of care.  The registered nurse is accountable for direct patient care and for supervising the care provided by professional and ancillary personnel.  The registered nurse assesses and plans for the educational needs of the patient and family that will contribute to the maintenance or restoration of health status on discharge.  As a member of the health team, the registered nurse implements the nursing plan, coordinates with the medical plan and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.  Professionalism is demonstrated by quality of care, leadership and in continued professional growth and development.  Quality assurance endeavors, through process improvement initiatives, are implemented through and with the nursing team.  Any RN in the hospital may be requested to float to other departments as patient needs dictate.

Qualifications

What is required...

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program & currently licensed in the State of Washington
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card (maintenance required)
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire (maintenance required)
  • PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire (maintenance required)
  • TNCC within 12 months of hire (maintenance required)
  • Emergency Severity Index training within 6 months

What is preferred...

  • One to two years of previous clinical experience preferred in appropriate nursing area
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range currently starts at $44.70/hour and goes up to $79.60/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience. 

Shift Differentials apply; Evenings (3p-11p) = $3.00/hour, Nights (11p - 7a) = 12% of hourly base rate, Weekends = $3.50/hour. 

FTE: .75 (30 hours/week). 

Shift: Primary 7:00p-7:30a; every other weekend
