Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical - Days

$20, 000 sign-on bonus eligibility 

Schedule : 3 -12-hour shifts

7A-7P   

Hourly range: $33.31 -$44.97

24‑bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio 

1:10 CA-to-nurse ratio 

Diverse patient population including medical, surgical, testing, and observation patients

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

  • Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.

  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

  • Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.

  • Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.

  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

What we're looking for 

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.  Associate degree in nursing required. 

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • Experience in clinical area preferred
