Looking for a part-time outpatient Internal Medicine position in Wilmington? Let's connect.

Wilmintgon Health Internal Medicine in Midtown is expanding. We are seeking an experienced NP/PA to provide outpatient adult (18+) primary and and same day care two days per week from 800a-500p. The ideal candidate will enjoy a clinic mix of preventative, chronic care managemet, patient education and walk-in case. Looking for a full-time opportunity? This position can be combined with our two-day outpatient Family Medicine Outpatient opportunity, giving you a four day work week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the United States.
  • Certification from an accredited PA or NP program and national certification board.
  • 1 year of demonstrated direct patient care in a NP or PA role in primary care or relevant specialty.
  • Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility to meet patient and clinic needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Strong background in patient education, pediatric well-checks and chronic disease management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to assess health status and identify medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests as appropriate.
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of chronic conditions.
