Role description: Arcadis seeks a Project Roadway Design Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team locally with support from one of the best qualified consulting firms in the country.

In this position you will utilize your technical knowledge as part of our local project team, developing innovative solutions throughout the national market. This is an excellent opportunity with great potential for growth. Role accountabilities: As a Project Roadway Design Engineer, you will assist in the development and design of infrastructure projects for roadways, including intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates and interstate interchanges.

You will also have the opportunity to perform different roles on multi-disciplined projects including planning, technical design of minor project, production lead, task leader and assisting Project Manager and lead engineers. Work on Project development as an individual or through team efforts to assist in developing project scopes and budgets, interfacing with and maintenance of client needs for the Project Manager, mentoring and development of junior staff and design/drafters, development of project plans and maintaining project schedules and ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices including quality and safety standards. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: 7+ years' work experience which includes experience on GDOT projects.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering PE within 6 months of hire. Key Skill/Attributes Planning and/or Engineering experience with infrastructure, which may include environmental document preparation, cost estimates, technical reports, construction plans and project displays. Proficiency with CAD particularly Microstation and OpenRoads.

Familiarity with GDOT design standards and policies. Interpersonal and client facing requirements will require someone with excellent, clear and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to contribute information to meetings, assist with effective client presentations and prepare written reports and meeting minutes. Must have the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously.

You should also have strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and be a self-motivated, team-oriented and flexible individual who possess the initiative and ability to tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts. Prefer experience in a client facing role, either as a team or individual, making presentations and managing client expectations. Preferred Qualifications: Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
