Are you licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with experience in mental health? Are you dependable, honest, and self motivated? Are your strengths: Attention to detail, thinking on your feet, learning new things, quick study? If yes, then this job as an Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse OR Mental Health Physician Assistant with the Division of Correctional Health Services is the job for you!
Job Responsibilities:
Provides direct and/or indirect patient care oriented toward improving or maintaining mental health symptoms and treating mental illness.
Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
Assess patients, diagnose conditions, order tests (laboratory tests, etc), prescribe treatment, and may provide patient and family education.
Coordinates clinical activities and follow-up.
Discuss results, findings and/or recommendations with appropriate parties.
Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
Maintains and updates patient charts, records, and information.
Assesses client/patient needs. Develops and implements plans to meet those needs in an interdisciplinary setting.
Recommends, advocates, and/or implements new and/or changes to existing policies and procedures, or regulations.
Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Salary Range for Both the Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Mental Health Physician Assistant:
$46.56 - $54.50
QualificationsMinimum/Required Qualifications as a Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse:
Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the State of Utah that is in good standing
Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
A Controlled Substance license and a DEA certification with no disciplinary action
Ability to pass both a fingerprinting background check and drug screening
Minimum Requirements as a Physician Assistant:
Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Utah that is in good standing
Experience in mental health
A Controlled Substance license and a DEA certification with no disciplinary action
Ability to pass both a fingerprinting background check and drug screening
