Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Clinical Training (ADCT), under the general direction of the Director of Clinical Training (DCT), provides operational and student support in the Office of Professional Training (OPT). The ADCT is responsible for implementing procedures for internship, supporting PhD and PsyD clinical psychology students through the internship application process, and serving as a liaison between students and internship sites throughout the internship year. The ADCT works collaboratively with the DCT and PsyD and PhD Program Directors to ensure students are prepared for the internship application process and that sites meet educational standards of the programs. The successful candidate will be a licensed clinical psychologist and have knowledge of best practices related to doctoral-level clinical training. Excellent initiative, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
Salary Range: $43.58 - $48.13 an hour ($51,000 - $56,323 annualized), Non-Exempt, Part-Time, 22.5 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• A doctoral degree (PsyD or PhD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited college or university.
• Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
Experience:
• 2-3 years of professional experience at the post-doctoral level.
• Familiarity with clinical or counseling psychology at the graduate level.
• Experience in facilitating learning.
Licensure, Certifications, etc.: Licensed Clinical Psychologist or licensed-eligible in the State of California. Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance.
Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, and familiar with Canvas, SharePoint, or other Student Information System (SIS) platforms.
• Knowledge of graduate education and training in psychology.
• Possess a vision and commitment to clinical training.
• Be able to establish and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with training sites.
• Excellent interpersonal, phone, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a cooperative and service-oriented manner with faculty, staff, and other University administrators. Good supervisory skills of both staff and students.
• Well-developed clinical expertise.
• Program evaluation skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in weekly staff meetings.
• Support operations in the Office of Professional Training, including attending individual weekly meetings with Administrative Assistant and Director of Clinical Training.
• In the absence of the Director, or at their request, the ADCT may provide coverage or represent the Department on behalf of the Director.
• Schedule, create content, and host Internship Preparation meetings for PhD and PsyD programs throughout the year.
• Assist with practicum and intern field training emergencies.
• Complete Statement of Concern and Student Evaluation and Review Committee referrals.
• Communicate with Internship Training Directors on the creation of behaviorally anchored remediation plans for students that are having problems on practicum/internship.
• Be available for site visits in the Greater LA area as needed.
• Be available for meetings on campus as needed.
• Implement APA Internship Application process (Phase I, Phase II, Post-Match-Vacancy) for both programs.
• Maintain relationships with APA internship sites.
• Update the internship manuals, policies, procedures, and forms each year.
• Process PhD and PsyD internship applications and verify training hours during Fall.
• Oversee the collection and retention of internship documentation and correspondence.
• Assign grades for internship; oversee the process of completing and finalizing grade change forms.
• Provide internship-related data and other information as needed to DCT, the Programs, and the Associate Dean.
• Attend meetings with other DCTs, ADCTs, and other school staff, as requested/needed.
• Collaborate with faculty when supporting students, as needed/recommended.
• Oversee the distribution of internship evaluations (as needed) and review of evaluations to ensure consistency with training standards and to facilitate program improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices related to clinical training.
• Meet and assist all Clinical PsyD/PhD students in the internship application process including annual advisement, review of CVs, cover letters, and provide interviewing skills workshops and role plays.
• Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.

Contact Responsibility:
Internal: Interacts with supervisor to review work plans and/or review of work results. This position interacts with clinical psychology program directors and students on the Alliant International University Los Angeles campus.
External: Practicum and internship training directors.
Primary Work Location, Hours & Travel Requirements:
Office Location: LA Campus - 1000 S Fremont Ave Building A7, Alhambra, CA 91803.
Work Hours: Hybrid, standard office hours.
Travel: Occasional travel is required to practicum training sites.
