Trail Drive Management Corporation Properties:

Trail Drive Management Corp. (TDMC) is a not-for-profit venue management company in Fort Worth, Texas. TDMC manages all aspects of venue management, including but not limited to event booking, event management, marketing, IT, technical services, food & beverage, parking, security, housekeeping, changeover, maintenance, and more. TDMC manages several venues in Fort Worth, TX.

Job Summary:

Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) is looking for an Operations Supervisor to support our Will Rogers Memorial Center (WRMC) operation. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining the facility for, during, and in-between events, including housekeeping, event setup and teardowns, day-to-day facility appearance, and special projects.

This position will be 100% on-site.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise, train, and direct work for operations staff
  • Assure proper routine cleanliness for all front of house and back of house spaces
  • Set-up and break-down of all events including flooring, chairs, tables, walls, staging, furnishings and equipment including equestrian and livestock stalls and other related equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties including use of cleaning equipment machines, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
  • Inspect completion of all assigned tasks to make sure specifications are met
  • Act as working shift supervisor for all full-time, part-time, and contract staff.
  • Operate various large equipment including forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, Kubotas, tractors, golf carts, etc.
  • Report discrepancies, safety concerns, or damage or loss of property promptly to supervisor
  • Prepare and monitor event spaces and room set-ups to accommodate event needs
  • Inventory of building FF&E assets and janitorial supplies to ensure properly equipped for day-to-day functions and prepared for events
  • Organize all storage areas to be neat, organized, and in working order
  • Maintain all event equipment
  • Implement and enforce Gendy Street Management policies and procedures
  • Assist other departments including but not limited to Executive, Parking, Security, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Event, Sales, and Marketing from time to time when necessary for the benefit of specific Events or overall Operation
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college in Hospitality, Management, or Maintenance Engineering and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management and/or supervisory position of public assembly facilities
  • Any experience and/or training in the public assembly facility management industry is a plus
  • Must have a state of Texas motor vehicle license
  • Demonstrate knowledge in operational procedures, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility
  • Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to event set-up/conversions/changeover especially related to equestrian and livestock events; typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility equipment; and proper use and care of hand and power tools
  • Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive, and expedient manner and be able to adhere to strict deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, or other light power drive equipment.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Employees will work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Employees must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. As business, maintenance, operations, or emergencies require, employees may sporadically assist in lift/move 100 lbs. or more.
  • Employees will regularly work around animals typically found in a fair/4H/FFA environment (horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, dogs, etc.).
  • Employees will regularly spend their shift standing/walking, traveling stairs, with limited to no sitting.
  • Employees may spend some of their day working on a computer and other office devices.
  • Employees will be exposed to high noise levels and/or fluctuating lights in event settings.
  • Employees must have the ability to reach, lift, and bend to perform job duties throughout the shift.
  • Employees will be exposed to hazardous chemicals, electrical shock risks, and vibrations throughout the shift.
  • Employees may be exposed to hazards associated with moving vehicles and require strict adherence to safety protocols.
