Job Description
We are looking for a professional and dynamic individual for a role within our North American Power and Natural Gas Physical Commodities team. The ideal candidate would be able to operate effectively in a challenging and fast-paced environment, partner with the business and other core support areas in order to facilitate business growth with a key focus on the risk and control around the trade capture, documentation, and settlement of structured physical transactions.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
  • Documentation: Daily responsibilities relating to onboarding of new structured transactions through reviewing trade documentation, performing trade checkouts and working with a variety of internal teams to integrate the transaction into the functional groups.
  • Providing support to traders, sales and marketers around existing transactions and new business
  • Onboarding new transactions and understanding new commodities business opportunities
  • Settlements: Daily monitoring of payments and receipts, invoicing clients and the daily reconciliation of customer account balances for physical transactions covering structured US power and North American natural gas products.
  • Responsible for the creation and review of structured excel models that facilitate business support and reconciliations of structured transactions.
  • Responsible for performing some regulatory reporting functions with respect to the US Power and Natural Gas business
  • Daily interaction with Traders, Sales, Technology, Legal, Strategists and other Operational departments
  • Preparation and review of escalation and control reports

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Technical & analytical focus with attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-starting individual with high levels of ownership
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate risk & control focus
  • Advanced Excel/VBA macro knowledge
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure and with competing tasks

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $80000-$135000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
