Job Summary:

Plans, organizes, coordinates and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.

Other information:

Critical Care -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Prefer experience in ER, and/or CCU nursing. ACLS required within first year of hire.

Emergency Services -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Would consider new graduates with Paramedic experience only. ACLS required withing first year of hire. PALS and TNCC preferred.

Women's and Children's Center -- None required. Prefer one year experience in Med/Surg, Pediatric and/or OB nursing. NRP certification required within first year of hire.

Specialty Float -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. ER &/or CCU experience preferred. Will float between CCU, ER, and PACU. ACLS required within first year of hire.

General Float -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Will float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center and Post Partum.

Medical/Surgical -- None required. One year experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred.

Prep & Holding/PACU -- Prefer at least two years experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or in Surgical Services nursing. ACLS required within first year of hire.

Surgery Center/Special Procedures -- Prefer two years experience in Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing. Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred.

Surgical Services: Operating Room -- None required. Prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing. Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required, and current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license required. Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.

Cancer Center - A minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. Preferred experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology is preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire.
