This Position is a Part-Time Instructional Position and receives $721 per credit hour.
Position Summary
The English Adjunct Instructor (Online) is responsible for providing high-quality online instruction in English courses while supporting student engagement, academic success, and critical thinking. This position develops and delivers course content aligned with departmental and institutional standards and fosters effective written communication and analytical skills in an online learning environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction
• Deliver online instruction in assigned English courses
• Develop and maintain course materials aligned with curriculum standards
• Facilitate student engagement and promote critical thinking and effective written communication
• Assess and evaluate student performance in a timely manner
Program Support
• Collaborate with faculty and department staff to support program goals
• Participate in online instructional mentorship as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and course activities
Administration
• Adhere to college policies and procedures
• Respond to student inquiries and communications promptly
• Complete required reporting and documentation
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in English or Literature; or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in English or Literature
• College-level experience teaching online preferred
• Applicants should upload the following documents prior to submitting their application: (1) transcripts from all colleges attended; (2) a curriculum vitae that includes the institutions where you have worked and the courses you have taught; (3) a syllabus from a relevant course recently taught; (4) a sample exam from a relevant course recently taught; (5) two letters of recommendation; and (6) a letter to the search committee describing your teaching experience.
• Must be willing to complete the Distance Learning Academy during the first semester of employment
• Applicant must pass verification of employment/reference screening and a background check
• This position is not eligible for Veterans' preference
