Job Summary:
EDG TECH is looking for the right candidate to manage and coordinate a portfolio of projects across multiple offshore production assets. The Facilities Automation Lead's role encompasses all aspects of the management of change process related to ongoing facility upgrades and maintenance. The position will coordinate with the facility team (i.e., operations, maintenance, automation), corporate stakeholders, and vendors as required. The candidate should be proficient in deepwater offshore Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) and their design, engineering, and associated standards/regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Facilities Automation Lead will be responsible for delivering Management of Change (MOC) project for several specific deep water assets in the Gulf of America. The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
    Identify needs and initiate MOC projects. Prepare scoping documentation and coordinate with vendors to prepare project estimates. Coordinate with Facility engineering and leadership to approve project funding. Review deliverables to ensure alignment with project requirements. Review MOC documentation to ensure that the related design is accurate and complete. Research and review the existing facility documentation to plan upcoming modifications and improvements. Communication with project stakeholders to ensure timely project execution. Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing of PLC and HMI configuration changes. Visit facilities as needed to support and coordinate work. Coordinate with various teams to support project execution:
      Offshore facility personnel Office based engineering teams Facility planners and schedulers Vendor EPC teams Vendor Systems Integration teams

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar discipline preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of technical experience designing and implementing control systems (PLC and DCS).
• Ten (10) or more years of total experience in the automation industry .
• Current HUET certification or the willingness and ability to attain certification required.
• Technical hands-on knowledge of related engineering systems, engineering calculations, application of engineering and construction methods and materials, and engineering application of computer software.
• Desire to learn production processes, systems, and new technologies.
• Knowledge of project execution in automation projects.
• Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills related to engineering activities.
Working Conditions:
• Requires travel within Houston area: client offices, vendors, and EPCs.
• Requires travel to offshore oil and gas platforms/rigs.
• Field duties require outdoor work in an offshore industrial facility type atmosphere.
• Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working around production machinery with potentially extreme noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
