It provides part-time work hours while offering mentorship, hands-on training, and professional development opportunities. The program helps nurses develop clinical skills, build confidence, and adapt to the demands of patient care. Participants typically work under the guidance of experienced preceptors and engage in educational sessions. This allows them to gain valuable experience while balancing other commitments.

What types of support and mentorship are provided to participants in a part time nurse residency program?

Most Part Time Nurse Residency Programs offer a structured orientation period with dedicated preceptors or mentors who provide guidance, feedback, and support as you transition into professional nursing practice. You will typically participate in regular training workshops, group discussions, and hands-on clinical rotations tailored for new graduates. This collaborative environment encourages skill-building, fosters professional growth, and helps residents confidently manage clinical responsibilities. As a part-time participant, you can expect ongoing support that fits your schedule, ensuring a balanced approach to learning and work-life commitments.
