Job description

Parent Shift Team Member

Hospitality or Kitchen

Work While They're at School. Be There When They're Home.

At Chick-fil-A, we recognize that parents and caregivers bring something incredibly valuable to the workplace: maturity, reliability, life experience, care, and a strong sense of responsibility.

We also know it can be difficult to find meaningful work that fits between school drop-off and school pick-up.

That's why we've created our Parent Shift — a part-time Team Member position designed around the traditional school day.

Our team needs dependable, high-character individuals during our busy daytime hours. Whether you enjoy creating remarkable experiences for guests in Hospitality or prefer working behind the scenes with our Kitchen Team, we have opportunities for you.

This is an opportunity to earn additional income, build relationships, and be part of a meaningful workplace — while still being there when your kids get home from school.

The Parent Shift

Typical availability for this role is approximately:

Monday–Friday | 8:30/9:00 AM – 2:00/2:30 PM

Exact start and end times may vary based on your family's school schedule and the needs of the restaurant.

This position is designed for individuals who can provide consistent weekday availability during the school year.

We also understand that school schedules change throughout the year. School breaks, holidays, and summer availability can be discussed as part of this position.

Choose Your Team

Hospitality

Our Hospitality Team Members create remarkable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors or visits our drive-thru. You may:

  • Greet and serve guests with genuine care
  • Take and fulfill orders accurately
  • Work in the drive-thru or front counter
  • Deliver meals and assist guests
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming restaurant
  • Support our team during busy breakfast and lunch hours

Kitchen

Our Kitchen Team Members work together to prepare fresh, high-quality food quickly, safely, and accurately. You may:

  • Prepare and assemble menu items
  • Support food preparation and production
  • Maintain food safety and quality standards
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Work alongside the team during high-volume lunch operations
  • Follow Chick-fil-A recipes, procedures, and standards

This Role is a Great Fit If You:

  • Are looking for meaningful work during traditional school hours
  • Want a schedule that allows you to be available before and after school
  • Can provide consistent weekday availability
  • Bring maturity, dependability, integrity, and a strong work ethic
  • Enjoy serving and caring for others
  • Want to earn additional income while your children are at school
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Want to be part of a positive workplace and community

Who You Are:

  • You have a desire to serve others
  • You bring a positive, hospitable mindset
  • You enjoy working alongside a team
  • You communicate clearly and professionally
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • You are willing to learn and grow

Why Chick-fil-A?

A job at Chick-fil-A is more than just a paycheck. We want this to be a place where you can contribute your talents, build meaningful relationships, and grow personally and professionally.

  • School-Day Scheduling — Work while your kids are at school and be available for your family before and after.
