For a part-time owner operator or truck driver, paying $0.55 per mile is generally below the industry average, which typically ranges from $0.70 to $1.00 per mile depending on experience, load type, and region. This rate may not cover all expenses such as fuel, maintenance, and insurance, so drivers should evaluate total compensation and costs before accepting such pay rates.

Part-time owner operators and truck drivers typically do not earn $5000 a week due to limited hours and lower weekly mileage.
