Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a part timeDermatologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and womenโ€™s health.

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

  • Supervise residents in adult, pediatric, and/or surgical dermatology clinics.
  • Provide clinical care and handsโ€‘on teaching to residents and medical students.
  • Primarily clinical role with required participation in hospital administrative tasks.
  • Additional teaching and administrative duties available, if desired.
  • Schedule: 28 hours per week of scheduled clinic time, plus 4 hours of scheduled administrative time (flexible).
  • Call Coverage: Home call coverage required 1 month per year.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Dermatology
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology
  • New York State Medical License

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $216,000* (board eligible); $220,000* (board certified) based on 32โ€‘hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $269,600** (board eligible) and $274,000** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Projected bonus of up to $32,000 (based on previous yearโ€™s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
    • Additional employeeโ€‘paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrenceโ€‘based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Preโ€‘tax employeeโ€‘paid contributions for commuting expenses.
