This is a great opportunity for an experienced MDS nurse seeking flexibility while staying engaged in meaningful work.
Position Summary
The MDS Nurse (RN) is responsible for the coordination and completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations. This role works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate documentation, appropriate reimbursement, and high-quality resident care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete and coordinate MDS assessments
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all MDS submissions
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to gather required documentation
  • Monitor documentation to support coding and reimbursement accuracy
  • Participate in care plan development and updates as needed
  • Stay current with CMS guidelines and regulatory changes
  • Assist with audits and quality assurance initiatives
Schedule
  • Part-time, 32 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling based on facility needs and candidate availability
Requirements
  • Active Maine RN license in good standing
