Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!Mercy Fort Smith's Med Surg Service Line is made up of 8 specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. While you will have a "home unit", we cross-train our nurses between the various specialties to provide a strong foundational knowledge of all types of patient conditions, comorbidities, procedures, etc. Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for you!Position Details:

SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE

10,000 Sign On Bonus for full-time RNs

with at least 1 year of experience

NO CONTRACT

Unit Details:

  • Patient Population: Higher acuity cardiac and respiratory

  • Environment: Fast-paced, high-energy; ideal for nurses pursuing ICU or ER careers

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

  • Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
