What role you will play our team

Join a high performing Front Office Valuation and Structuring quant team supporting Crude and Products trading, asset optimization and structured transactions. You will provide transparent, independent and commercially actionable valuation expertise, with a strong focus on identifying, modelling and pricing embedded physical and financial optionality across storages, swing contracts, transportation/pipeline capacity and power generation assets.

Your work will support traders, originators and senior stakeholders in evaluating structured supply/offtake agreements, capacity deals, dispatch linked structures and cross commodity strategies, while contributing to global corporate initiatives requiring rigorous valuation, optionality analysis and risk translation beyond the core Trading organization.

What you will do
  • Provide fair valuation and independent risk assessment for complex crude and products deals, quantifying physical and financial optionality.
  • Support traders and originators with structure design, payoff logic, pricing, sensitivities and clear commercial explanations.
  • Build valuation templates and analytics tools with strong optionality modelling capabilities (stochastic methods, scenario analysis).
  • Contribute valuation and optionality insight to large global corporate projects beyond day to day trading (e.g., multi year supply agreements or multi asset corporate structures.
  • Advise on hedging strategies for exotic and optionality rich structures, mapping risks into hedgeable exposures and identifying residual risks.
  • Conduct back testing, assumption validation and parameter research, especially for illiquid curves and optionality driven features.
  • Collaborate with quant modelling/technology/data teams to ensure robust model deployment and FO tooling integration.
What you will bring
  • A degree in Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Proven experience in crude oil market analytics, preferably within a trading environment.
  • Strong understanding of global crude oil flows, macroeconomic trends, and commodity pricing.
  • Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience building and maintaining supply & demand models and trading dashboards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Exposure to derivatives trading and physical market operations is highly desirable.
