Job description

Job Title: Catholic Music Director/Musician
Location: McConnell AFB, KS
Job Type: Part-Time/Contract Position
Position Overview:
Ladgov Corporation is seeking an experienced Catholic Music Director/Musician to lead and support music ministry for Catholic worship services and special religious events. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing high-quality liturgical music that enhances worship and encourages congregational participation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide musical leadership for Catholic worship services, special liturgical celebrations, and seasonal observances.
  • Select and prepare music appropriate to the liturgical calendar and worship setting.
  • Lead congregational singing and provide instrumental and vocal accompaniment during services.
  • Direct choir rehearsals and coordinate choir participation in worship services.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor volunteer choir members and musicians.
  • Coordinate music selections and worship plans with clergy and ministry leadership.
  • Maintain music schedules, attendance records, and program documentation.
  • Ensure audio-visual and sound equipment is properly prepared for rehearsals and services.
  • Maintain music resources, sheet music libraries, and worship presentation materials.
  • Support special religious ceremonies, sacramental celebrations, and community events as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of experience providing music leadership within a Catholic church or chapel environment.
  • Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental performance suitable for Catholic worship services.
  • Ability to perform and direct traditional, contemporary, and liturgical Catholic music.
  • Ability to read music and teach vocal harmony and choral techniques.
  • Experience directing choirs and working with volunteer musicians.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Catholic liturgical traditions and worship practices.
  • Must successfully complete all required onboarding and screening requirements.
