Job description

Tots Music, Movement, & Dance Instructor (Laurelhurst Community Center)
If you have experience working with groups of young children ages 1-3.5 and a passion for inspiring little ones through music, movement, and creative play, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has an exciting opportunity for you as a Tots Music, Movement, & Dance Instructor. This part-time role at Laurelhurst Community Center offers the chance to lead engaging parent/child classes that use rhythm, song, dance, and playful props to spark joy and exploration.
ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare as well as a wide variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs. In this role, tots will build confidence through coordinated movement, rhythm, and creative expression while exploring music, dance, and playful activities. With guidance and encouragement, children will develop motor skills, social connections, and a love for active learning in a fun and supportive environment.
Location: Laurelhurst Community Center
Age Group: At least 1 year old but less than 3.5 yrs, Mixed
Schedule: Two days a week: Thursdays 9:15am-11:15am, and Mondays OR Wednesdays within 2:30pm-5pm (exact time TBD). Each day, you will be teaching two 45-minute classes
Estimated Start Date: February 2026
Tots Music, Movement, & Dance Instructor requirements include:
  • Experience with and passion for teaching toddlers
  • If hired, must pass criminal background check
  • If hired, must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid photo ID
