Job description

Bach to Rock (โ€œB2Rโ€) Americaโ€™s Music School for students of all ages is currently seeking an Early Childhood Music Instructor in ourย Redmond, WA, location to work as a part-time employee providing music classes to Pre-K through Kindergarten ages.

This job is a perfect fit for someone looking to supplement hours to their existing job in early education or add work experience to a related field of study.ย  We have existing early education classes running now and demand is strong to add additional classes through the week and weekend.

Early Childhood Teachers at Bach to Rock create a fun, educational and safe environment for children to explore the world of music. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing and other business aspects of the lessons & group classes so that you can focus on teaching.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead B2Rโ€™s early childhood classes including Rock City (Pre-K) and Kids n Keys (Beginning Piano) with the help of B2R's detailed lesson plans and activities
  • Create a warm, fun and welcoming class environment in which young children can feel safe
  • Create the foundations by which young children can continue to learn and be inspired by music

Requirements:

  • Must have a background or experience in the arts (music, theater, art, etc...)
  • Basics in Piano
  • Must feel comfortable in an active and high-energy setting
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to keep a group of young students engaged
  • Comfortable working and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of basic music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts in a developmentally appropriate and age-appropriate manner with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both children and adults/guardians
  • Must play a musical instrument at a beginner level โ€“ piano, keys, or guitar preferred
  • Must be unafraid to sing a cappella (unaccompanied)
  • Ability to pass a background check

B2R offers an hourly rate that is based on education, experience, expertise, and availability.

This Bach to Rock is locally owned and operated by Inner Rhyme Enterprises, LLC.
