Summary
At Holy Family Bilingual Catholic School, we cultivate a rich cultural community through an empowering Spanish two-way immersion program in which students become innovate thinkers, global leaders and disciples of Christ. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in a multicultural community as a Preschool-5th grade music specialist instructor. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging students of different cultures and ages and a desire to be a part of a Catholic community. Holy Family is a dual language (Spanish/English) school and we are always seeking bilingual teachers, although this is not a requirement.
When: For the 2026-27 school year
Qualifications
Current teaching certificate for music in Washington or another state or the ability to pursue one (preferred)
Experience in a diverse, educational community (preferred)
Bilingual (Spanish/English) (preferred)
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about music theory
Experience teaching music to children of various ages
Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
Skilled at differentiation of instruction
Commitment to Catholic Education
Interest in collaborating with the Parish Music Director
Organizational Practices
Teach a .5 FTE music curriculum to Preschool-4th grade students
Oversee Christmas Concert and Spring Concert
Facilitate student choir and music during school Mass
Participate actively in meetings with colleagues to ensure consistency in academic assessments and student behavioral expectations
Engage in regular, effective communication with parents and families
Differentiate instruction to ensure growth for all students
Participate in regular professional development
Establish clear classroom expectations and routine
*A current Washington State teaching certificate is encouraged but not required.
Salary: Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. Salary range is $25,000-35,000 per year.
Benefits: This position is 0.5 FTE and does not qualify for comprehensive benefits.
