Role Description

Housekeepers will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure all rooms, common areas, and grounds are cared for according to company standards.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, laundry, emptying trash, carpet cleaning.
  • Ensure all rooms and bathrooms are cared for and inspected according to company standards.
  • Restock supplies and consumables.
  • Empty trash from designated areas throughout the motel/cabin grounds.
  • Clean, dry, and restock laundry as needed.
  • Clean furniture and carpets as needed.
  • Stock, refill, and clean cabins/laundry facility as needed.
  • Maintain grounds outside motel/cabins including picking up litter and light maintenance as needed.
  • Assist guests as necessary.
  • Notify management of any necessary repairs or problems.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures according to company policy.
  • Perform other functions as necessary or assigned
  • Ability to efficiently time manage and work well with minimal supervision

Experience/Education:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Working Environment
Work is performed in multiple settings such as but not limited to; climate controlled rooms/cabins with carpet/laminate flooring, exposure to extreme cold or hot weather while between rooms/cabins and in or around the laundry facilities when working outside. Occasional exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals. Continuously standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders, frequently lift/carry up to 10 pounds below waist, up to 20 pounds at waist/chest and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
